Austin Crawfish Festival

Better than just a boil! March 8th & 9th The Austin Crawfish Festival is a festival celebrating two major industries in Texas: crawfish and beer! We are bringing over 10,000 pounds of fresh Louisiana grown crawfish to Central Texas to provide an experience like no other. That’s not where it stops though, in addition to all that delicious mouth-watering crawfish we bring some of Austin’s largest craft beer vendors to provide you beer by the pitcher! Authentic craft beer (wine available too), fresh boiled crawfish served to you in front of live music, what could be better? Fun for the whole family!

BBQ Austin presented by Miller Lite

BBQ Austin, a Rodeo Austin production, presented by Miller Lite is a BBQ cook-off competition that takes place the weekend before Rodeo Austin kicks off. The public is invited to come out and enjoy food samples from BBQ teams competing for BBQ Austin Grand Champion!

The History of Exclusion in the Suffragette Movement

Join Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director María Milner for the March discussion topic in the 2019 series ‘Know the Fights for the Rights’ on “The History of Exclusion in the Suffragette Movement.” We are taking a deep look at the beginnings of the Women’s Suffrage Movement in the United States, its most revered leaders, and their stances on the suffrage of African-American women and men. Discussion will also include a critical look at how the past of the Suffrage Movement casts a shadow on present efforts to include a wider range of our community.

Join us, Charcuterie Lovers, for a night of cheese, charcuterie, and sundries. This is the perfect evening to learn more about charcuterie and cheese pairings. We will guide you through different styles of cheese (both pasteurized and unpasteurized) each paired with meat, accompanied by olives, nuts, and Easy Tiger bread. Note: Doors open at 3:45pm and the event starts at 4pm. You may choose to arrive early and separately purchase our wine or beer pairings from the Cheese Shop prior to the class the day of the event. Should you choose to bring your own wine or beer, there is a $4 set-up fee.
